a-z in regexp does not work as expected for some locales

Description

There's heavy usage on a-z character ranges within regular expression code. Unfortunately this does not work as expected for locales like Estonian.

Humm, I've copied these patterns from gnome-terminal, maybe it is buggy there too. I think you should test it there and, maybe, help them too.
