Guake/Lucid not recognizing F12 when using Microsoft Wireless Comfort Keyboard 1.0A

Description

I recently reclaimed my Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse from my guest machine for a variety of reasons. All has gone well, but... For some reason, despite correctly laying out the keyboard in the preferences tool, hitting F12 does not invoke Guake, nor do I seem able to remap the key. I am running this on a fully patched Lucid install. I miss my easy access console (which gets doubly cool with Byobu running).

I am an embassed idiot. The FLock key must be toggled for the F12 key to be available to Guake (although the lower 10 Fkeys seemed to work fine, otherwise). FLock is also applicable to F11 which I just tested.
