Better dual screen handling

Keywords: dual screen compatibility Cc: pingou@…

Description

I am running a dual-screen setup with a total resolution of 3200x1200 pixel (right screen as the main working area, left screen for menus, icons, email client etc). At the moment, guake terminal uses the whole horizontal resolution and both screens for its window - which makes a rather lavish terminal window which always starts on the left screen.

It would be a nice feature to be able to limit guake terminal to one screen and/or to a specific horizontal resolution. Even on a single screen with a higher resolution (e.g. 1900x1200) it would be useful to be able to limit the size of the window.

I suggest some preference items like

Size of guake window: (Whole horizontal desktop size/Specific Screen only/Specific resolution only)

Horizontal Position: (centered/left/right)

Which version of guake are you using ?

If you are using the latest version (0.3.1) then please see: *  http://trac.guake-terminal.org/ticket/10 And for your interest: *  http://trac.guake-terminal.org/ticket/68

Thus I close that one as duplicate.

Could you add your suggestion on bug #10 please ?

Thanks for the report
