Guake is a Free and Open Source project and is distributed under the terms of GPLv2. Feel free to contribute.
Source code
We use git version control system and the GitHub source code hosting service. The main git repo URL is git://github.com/Guake/guake.git; so to get Guake's source code, please execute the following command:
$ git clone git://github.com/Guake/guake.git

We use a mailing list as primary tool for discussions, please register to join our small community or if you're just seeking for help.

Translation
For our translations we are using the project Transifex. You can therefore, register there, get the po file on the page of the project, translate it and having it directly committed to the sources. Feel free to do so, we adopted Transifex to make your life easier.
